I used to wait until the end of the month to get my monthly statement. Now I can see everything in real-time as it happens.

AA Gonzalez is a construction company based in the San Fernando Valley, CA that specializes in Lath, Plaster, and Scaffolding. Founded in 1992 by Albert Gonzalez Sr, a first-generation Mexican-American born and raised in Los Angeles, the firm remains family owned. As the volume of purchase orders grew, so did the challenge of staying on top of what was owed, what had been received, and where inventory stood at any given point in the month.
Now I can see right away if a supplier hasn't sent me an invoice for an order. I can reach out immediately.
Before Field Materials AI, the material procurement and inventory management process was paper-based and manual. Field crews would fill out paper requisition forms and bring them to the office. This was a slow and painstaking process. The purchasing team had to contact the warehouse manager to inquire about inventory availability before submitting an order. The warehouse carries over 400 unique SKUs and without a formal inventory management software in place, verifying real time inventory availability was challenging and highly inefficient. For items not present in the warehouse, the purchasing team entered each line item description, quantity, and units of measure, and then emailed orders to suppliers.
The accounts payable team, on the other hand, was unable to track in real time what was owed to suppliers, which orders were still open, and whether suppliers have resolved any outstanding issues with orders. The AP team waited until the end of the month to process the stacks of invoices when the supplier's monthly statements arrived.

I used to wait until the end of the month to get my monthly statement. Now I can see everything in real-time as it happens.
AA Gonzalez adopted Field Materials AI to streamline their material purchasing, AP invoice processing, and inventory management challenges. Jose, the warehouse manager, now uses the FM construction inventory management software to efficiently handle close to 500 unique SKUs. For frequently ordered items, Jose has set replenishment thresholds so that when inventory runs low, he is immediately notified to reorder additional stock.
Field crews now use the mobile app to take photos of their requisition forms and instantly send them to the purchasing team. No longer they need to come to the office to drop any paper forms. Alberto and the purchasing team can now instantly see which of the requested materials are available in the warehouse. They no longer need to type the purchase order and instead rely on the AI to create the itemized purchase order from the scanned field requisition. For those items that are not present in the warehouse, Alberto can easily split the order between the warehouse and an external supplier. Once he submits the order, Field Materials notifies both Jose at the warehouse and the external supplier, requesting them to confirm the orders.
Once the order is delivered on the job site, foremen use the mobile app to snap photos of the packing slips. The AI matches the slips to the correct purchase orders, automatically finds the items being received, and pre-fills received quantities. No manual data entry for the field crews - just snap a photo and click Submit. Now, the purchasing and AP teams can see real-time what was ordered and what was received for any job.
AA Gonzales has completely transformed how they handle supplier invoices. Field Materials now automatically downloads supplier invoices from the AP email inbox and matches them to the correct purchase orders and delivery slips (3-way match). Alberto can now see all outstanding invoices immediately as they are received. Any issues are now quick and easy to spot.

Now I have a better idea of where my numbers are. Field Materials software really helps.

By replacing paper forms and month-end guesswork with real-time visibility from the field to the back office, Field Materials AI gave AA Gonzalez a highly efficient system to manage what's ordered, received, and owed at any point in the month, helping the team catch problems early.
